    EUGENE — Mary Darlene Gelskey, 87, a member of St. Mark Parish, died Jan. 7 of congestive heart failure with shortness of breath. There was a funeral Mass at St. Mark Church in Eugene.

    OREGON CITY — Robert Stark, 85, a member of St. Ignatius Parish, died of complications related to Parkinson’s Disease Jan. 8. There will be a funeral Mass this summer.

    OREGON CITY — James Alton Elting, 84, loving husband and father of seven children, died Jan. 10. A funeral Mass was planned for immediate family members at St. John the Apostle Church.
  • Evelyn Van Agtmael
    Evelyn Mary Van Agtmael, 99, died Jan. 15 in Sublimity, surrounded by her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Jordan and its mission, St. Patrick, in Lyons, as well as St. Boniface Parish in Sublimity. The funeral Mass was at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

    Helen Riverman Mason, 100, of Tigard died Jan. 8 in Beaverton. There will be a private funeral Mass Jan. 22 at St. Anthony Church in Tigard.
  • Jeffrey Ginter
    BEAVERTON — Jeffrey D. Ginter, 45, succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home on January 11th, 2021. There was a funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Beaverton.
  • Neil Miskimins
    Neil Andrew Miskimins, husband and father, died Dec. 28 in Bigfork, Montana. He was surrounded by his family. He was 71 years old.
  • Vincent "Pesky" Paveskovich
    Well known former educator, local athlete and coach, Vincent J. (Pesky) Paveskovich, 99, passed away Jan. 3, 2021.
  • Barbara Harris
    Barbara Lorraine McKiel Harris died peacefully Dec. 20 surrounded by loved ones at the Laurel Parc Assisted living center. Due to the restrictions of Covid 19 a private Mass and interment was held. 
  • Diane Marcoe
    Diane Marcoe, 74, died Jan. 1. Mrs. Marcoe’s rosary and funeral Mass, on Jan. 11 and 12, will be livestreamed.

    Maria “Lulu” Lourdes Borromeo Kabigting, 65, of Portland, died Dec. 23. Father John Marshall celebrated her funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church in Milwaukie.

    LAKE OSWEGO — Rosemary Taylor died Dec. 30. A private funeral service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church.
  • Dorothy Rose
    Dorothy Jewitt Rose, 88, a member of St. Therese Parish in Northeast Portland, died Dec. 27. There will be a get-together and celebration of her life at a later date.
  • Glenn Nado
    Glenn Eugene Nado, 91, died peacefully at home in Fairview Dec. 28. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
  • Mary Erceg Seats
    Mary Erceg Seats, 96, died peacefully Dec. 8 after a long fight with cancer. A memorial service will be set after COVID restrictions have been lifted.
  • Charles Filipowicz
    Charles William Filipowicz, 91, died peacefully Dec. 21 at his home in Portland, due to complications from COVID-19. 

    A memorial service of Resurrection will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church followed by military honors at Willamette National Cemetery, date and time to be determined.

    LAKE OSWEGO — Jean Delehanty Olson, 90, died Dec. 14 at Mary’s Woods. A private family service is being held at Gethsemane Cemetery in Portland. A celebration of her life will be scheduled later.
  • Mary Grace McDermott
    LAKE OSWEGO — Mary Grace McDermott, 89, died unexpectedly at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland Sept. 25. There was a memorial service at Our Lady of the Lake Church.

    SCAPPOOSE — Longtime Archdiocese of Portland pastor Father Frank Joseph Knusel died early Christmas morning.
  • Marie Louise Colasurdo
    Marie Louise Boril Colasurdo, three days shy of 92, died Dec. 9 of COVID-19, at her care home in Beaverton. A celebration of life will be held post-pandemic.
