SPRINGFIELD — Joe Mark, a healthcare executive with 35 years of leadership experience, has been hired as interim chief executive for PeaceHealth Oregon Network.

Mark has held a variety of hospital leadership roles, including chief executive officer, chief operating officer and vice president. He most recently served as interim senior vice president and area manager for two Kaiser Foundation hospitals in California. He is a director with WolfCreek Partners Group, a firm specializing in leadership development and organizational change.

PeaceHealth Oregon is conducting a national search for a permanent chief executive.

Meanwhile, PeaceHealth named Heather Wall chief nursing officer at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend here. She had been serving in that role on an interim basis since February. 

Wall oversees all RiverBend nursing operations, working with physicians, hospital leaders and nursing teams on improvements.

Wall has worked at PeaceHealth since 2004, having received a master’s of science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Walden University, a Minnesota based online school.
