EUGENE — Staffs from the Eugene and Springfield Catholic Community Services centers gathered with supporters and benefactors June 13 to celebrate the commissioning of a new box truck that will increase the agency’s ability to provide food and other essentials to neighbors in need.

The Oregon Food Bank and the Three Rivers Foundation contributed for the truck purchase, as did donations from other CCS supporters.

Father David Brown, pastor of St. Paul Parish in Eugene and vicar for parishes in the region, presided at the commissioning. Tom Mulhern, executive director of CCS, thanked donors.
