Just days before he was to graduate, a University of Portland senior went missing. Authorities say they have no information on the whereabouts of Andrew Barton, last seen April 27. His car was found parked near the east end of the St. Johns Bridge.

A group of his classmates searched for him in Forest Park on May 7 and his parents have hired a private investigator.

“We join the Barton family in prayer for Andrew and will keep our U.P. community informed as appropriate,” said a note from university leaders. “Andrew’s family appreciates our support and has requested privacy at this time. Times like this remind us of the vital importance of our community and our support for one another.”
