Ralph Rigdon

Ralph Rigdon died June 18. He was 85.

Mr. Rigdon was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Hubbard to Lucy Marie Becker and Edward Lonnie Rigdon. He graduated from Canby High School in 1946 and served in the U.S. Army from 1952-’54. He worked as a tugboat operator, truck driver and forklift operator for International Harvester and Chrysler, from which he retired in 1992. He was recently honored at St. John the Baptist Church for 60 years of choir and organ performances.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne; brother, Robert (Mary Lou); sister-in-law, Diane (Ron); son, Greg Rigdon; daughter, Patricia (Greg); sons, Dean (Pam), Gary (Sharilyn), Mark and Neal (Debbie); nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at St. John the Baptist Church in Milwaukie, followed by a reception. Memorial donations can be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness or Oregon Health and Science University Knight Cancer Institute.
