Dr. Richard DeKlotz

 Dr. Richard Leonard DeKlotz, a parishioner at St. Thomas More Parish for 42 years, died April 9. He was 73.

Dr. DeKlotz was born March 2, 1941. He attended University of Portland and graduated from Creighton Medical School in 1966. He worked as a pediatrician for 43 years in Southwest Portland, where he founded Scholls Pediatric Clinic.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosemary; children, Michael (Christine), Mary Bacich (Chris), Stephen (Erin), Thu Anne, Timothy (Cyndee) and Patrick (Shea); nine grandchildren (with one due in June); and sisters, Barbara Miller and Janet Berger.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Memorial donations can be made to birthright.org.
