Marie Eisele

SHERIDAN — Marie E. Eisele, a member of St. Michael Parish in Grand Ronde, died here April 8. She was 89.

Mrs. Eisele was born Aug. 18, 1924, in McMinnville. She graduated from Sheridan High School. She married Anthony Eisele in 1946.

She worked on the family farm year-round, Sheridan School District as a custodian and then a cook, Norbest in Salem, and as a homemaker.

She supported education and community service of all types, which included her involvement in 4-H Clubs, Buell Grange and St. Michael's of Grand Ronde Catholic Church Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Goldie Newton, Tina Burnham, Maxine Rogers and Georgie Severns.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Eisele, and their children, Thomas (Susan), Albany; Gerald (Rosie), Grand Ronde; Anna (Rod) Aspillaga, Salem; Dolores (Rich) Carmichael, La Grande; and Pamela (Ken) Reid, Portland; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as her surviving siblings, MaryLu Dally, Bill Vincent, and Emma Jane Dorsey.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Goldie Newton, Tina Burnham, Maxine Rogers and Georgie Severns.

Recitation of the Rosary will be on Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 15 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception, all at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Ronde.
