Adelina Rodrigues, a member of St. Anne Parish in Gresham and sister to retired Archdiocese of Portland priest Father Amancio Rodrigues, died Feb. 14. She was 76.
Ms. Rodrigues was born in Cavelossim, Goa, India on July 20, 1937, to Mousinho and Clementina Rodrigues. She graduated from high school in Goa. She did volunteer work until she migrated to the United States in 1979. She was single. Her whole life revolved around God, Church and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bernardo and sister Judith.
She is survived by her sister Maria, brother Father Amancio, sister-in-law, Edviges and many nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces.
A funeral Mass was celebrated by eight priests including her brother, Father Amancio and Bishop Kenneth Steiner. She was anointed by Father Maxy D’Costa.
She worked for Dominic Dulcich at Pacific Sea Food, Jantzen and Regence Blue Cross-Blue Shield from where
she retired as quality control technician. In addition, she worked for the Portland Timbers and the Portland Trailblazers part-time. She was always dedicated to her work and gained many awards.
She was loved by all. The family loved her tenderly. She will be missed by all. May she rest in peace.
