Vivian Dignan died Feb. 18. She was 101.
Mrs. Dignan was born May 29, 1912, to Louis and Catherine Krall in Tyndall, S.D. After graduating from high school, she began a career lasting over 60 years working as an executive secretary for Northern States Power, the National Marine Fisheries, the Portland Town Club, St. Ignatius Parish and the National Association of Manufactures. She married James Dignan in 1940.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; and son, Dennis. She is survived by her daughter, Diane West; daughter-in- law, Sue Dignan; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at St. Ignatius Church, followed by a reception in the parish hall. Memorial donations can be made to Impact NW Senior Program, 4610 S.E. Belmont St., Portland, OR 97215.
