Frank Mariman, a member of the Catholic Church, died Jan. 27. He was 82.
Mr. Mariman was born May 30, 1931, in Ocean Lake. He received a high school education and also attended technical schools for radio, television and electronics. He served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1960. He worked at the BMEWS site in Clear, Alaska, Hanford Nuclear Reactor in Richland, Wash., ARCO Alaska and B.P. He moved to Homer in 1980 and then to Soldotna in 2013.
He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Mariman; sisters, Louise Hodges and Leona McCoy; brother, George Mariman; and parents, Aime and Elizabeth Mariman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Mariman, Soldotna; daughters, Victoria Frost, McMinnville; Fawn McArthur, Austin, Texas; Darlene Lewi, Hilo, Hawaii; Judy Mariman, Arlington, Va.; Amy Milliman, Longview, Wash.; and Elizabeth Conard, Kansas City, Kan.; sons, Frank Mariman, Soldotna; David Mariman, Ridgefield, Wash.; and George Mariman, Soldotna; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joan Wickland, Portland.
A memorial service was held in Homer.
