Jean Mulvaney died Jan. 31. She was 74.
Mrs. Mulvaney was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Valley City, N.D., and grew up in Litchville, N.D. She married Donald Mulvaney in 1960 and moved to Beaverton in 1966, where she worked as a cook at Mountain View Junior High School. She and her family moved to Florence in 1979 and purchased West Lane Plumbing, which they owned and operated until 1993, when she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, in 2002. She is survived by her brother, Roy Neumann; children, David Mulvaney, Patrick Mulvaney and Sam Mulvaney; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at St. Mary Our Lady of the Dunes Church in Florence. A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge immediately following the service. Memorial donations can be made to the Siuslaw Area Women's Center.
