Dorothy Fortner

Dorothy Lorraine Fortner, a member of St. Pius X Church, died Dec. 26. She was 85.

Mrs. Fortner was born April 27, 1928, in Oak Park, Ill., and lived most of her life in Palos Heights, Ill. She worked as a loan officer at Olympic Savings and Loan. She moved to Portland in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; parents, Emil and Mildred Baloun; brother, Leonard (Bernadette) Baloun; and daughter, Mary. She is survived by her son, Gregg (Stephanie) Fortner, and one grandchild.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at St. Pius X Church. Memorial donations can be made to to Legacy Hopewell House Hospice/ The Office of Philanthropy, P.O. Box 4484, Portland, OR 97208, legacyhealthgiving.lhs.org.
