Lee Nemechek Jr.

EUGENE — Lee Nemechek Jr., a member of St. Mary Church, died Nov. 22. He was 80.

Mr. Nemechek was born Oct. 19, 1933 in Amarillo, Texas, to Leland and Janet (O’Bryan) Nemechek. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1955 and received an MBA from Michigan State University in 1956. He worked his whole life in the grocery and hardware business, retiring as a vice president.

He is survived by his wife Darralynn; three daughters, Debbie Root (Barry), Kathy Jacobi (Fred), and Suzie Lawmaster (Paul); 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dick (Margaret) and Jim (Kitty); and one sister, Janet (Dick).

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary Church in Eugene. Memorial donations can be made to St. Mary Church.
