Darlene Painter-Tutmark died Nov. 25. She was 75.
Mrs. Tutmark was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Brandon, Minn. The family moved to Oregon when she was 5 and settled in Vanport. After the Vanport flood, they moved to St. John’s. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and she attended Portland State and University of Portland. She was a youth minister for Holy Redeemer and Holy Trinity parishes. She married Bill Painter in 1959. She worked in the library at William Walker Elementary School for 25 years, retiring in 2005. She and Bill divorced, and she married Peter Tutmark in 2005. They lived in the Bethany area of Washington County and were members of St. Pius X Parish.
She is survived by husband Peter; brother, Bob Stai; children Jeff, Tami (Mike), Debi (Scott), Bill (Angie) and Michelle (Keith), six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Pius X. Memorial donations can be made to Jesuit High School; 9000 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, Portland, Oregon 97225
