LAKE OSWEGO — Anthony William Seyer, a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, died Oct. 27. He was 90.
Mr. Seyer was born Oct. 17, 1923, in Vancouver, B.C, Canada, to William Seyer and Blanche (Le Blanc) Seyer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in pre-med at the University of British Columbia and served in the Canadian Reserve Officer's Training Corps. After World War II, he moved to the United States with his family, residing in Los Angeles, where he married Josephine “Dody” Clancy. They first lived in Puerto Rico, then moved to Connecticut, and in retirement, settled in Lake Oswego. He helped start and build the Papermate Pen Co., and was later executive vice president of manufacturing for the Schick Safety Razor Company. He later became vice president of Warner Lambert after the company acquired Schick.
HE was preceded in death by brothers, John and Frank. He is survived by wife, Josephine (Dody); five children, Loretta, Michelle, Taryn, Lawrence and Madalyn; one granddaughter; and his sister, Rose Pierson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego.
