Albina Theresa Goetz died Oct. 26. She was 88.
Mrs. Goetz was born April 28, 1925 in St. Peter, Kan., to Jacob and Katherine (Knoll) Dreiling. She was raised and educated in Kansas on the family farm. At 16, she moved with her family to Denver, Colo. She worked at the Levi Jean Company and the Nabisco Company. She married Albinus “Beanie” Goetz in 1946 in Denver.
They moved to the Reedsport area in 1955 and settled into a home in Gardiner. She worked at the Fox Hole as a waitress and she would work at several other cafes over the years including Poseys' Bakery in Reedsport. In 2005, she moved to Florence.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. She is survived by her three daughters and sons in law; Charlene (David) Duble, North Bend; Linda (Gary) Day, Olympia, Wash., Myra (Roger) Paul, Keizer; and four sisters, Frances Brown, Ella Gabel, Leona Gabel and Viola Younger; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A service was held at St. Johns Rectory in Reedsport.
