Robert Constans died Oct. 17. He was 92.
Mr. Constans was born Oct. 22, 1920, in Grand Forks, N. D., and spent his childhood in Portland, Longview, Wash., Rainier, Seattle, and Grand Forks. After serving in the Army prior to and during World War II, he spent his career as a cartographic engineer with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and Clark County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, in 2002, and his parents, Frank and Frances Constans. He is survived by his sister, Patricia; brother, Henri (Shirley), Portland, and three sons, Steve (Linda), Clatskanie, Paul (Pam), Ft. Scott, Kan. and Matt (Coral), Washougal; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph Church in Vancouver.
