Betty Aschenbrener

Betty Lou Hooper Aschenbrener died Oct. 14. She was 84.

Mrs. Aschenbrener was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Midvale, Idaho. She graduated from the University of Idaho. Her teaching career began at Emmett High School in Emmett, Idaho. She married Tony Aschenbrener. She received a master's degree from Portland State University and taught in Portland, finishing her career at Beaumont Middle School in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Norma; and twin brother, Robert. She is survived by her daughter, Debi Aschenbrener Brakebush; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, , at All Saints Church. Memorial donations can be made to Central Catholic High School or the Oregon Humane Society.
