William Lawrence Dehen died Oct. 1. He was 91.
Mr. Dehen was born May 17, 1922, to William Peter Isenberg-Dehen and Cecilia Schmitt in Portland. He attended Ascension and Cathedral grade schools and Lincoln High School. He served in the Navy during World War II. After the war, he returned to Portland and attended the University of Portland before joining the family garment manufacturing business, Dehen Knitting Company, in 1946. He married Lou Ann Harris in 1948.
He was preceded in death by brother, Henry; and sisters, Rosemary Dehen and Alvira Tromp. He is survived by his wife; children, Michael (Cathy), Thomas (Judy), John (Brenda), Mary Scotto (Frank), Peter (Dale), Daniel (Regina), Patricia, Elizabeth Artaiz (Jim), Joanna (Olivia), Rebecca Monaghan (Peter); 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Ascension Church, with Msgr. Timothy Murphy presiding. A reception will follow.
