Thomas "Tomm" Nuelle died Aug. 16. He was 77.
Mr. Nuelle was born n St. Louis, Mo., to Eugene and Sophia Nuelle. He studied in New York and overseas in Italy and France, and then taught college in Massachusetts and California. He moved to Upland, Calif., in 1975 where he and his wife raised their two sons. He worked as a probation officer in Los Angeles County and later as a pretrial services officer for the U.S. District Court, Central District, retiring in 2000 as chief of pretrial services. After he retired, he and his wife Fran moved to the Rogue Valley.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Fran; sons, Jeff and John, and five grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Norman, John, and sister Joan.
A memorial service was held at Shepherd of the Valley Church in Central Point.
