GRANTS PASS — Retired Lt. Col. Harry Harvey, a member of St. Anne Parish, died June 19. He was 81.
Born July 26, 1931 in Kinzua, he and his family moved to Clarkston, Wash., in 1942. He enlisted in the Army in 1949 and retired in 1971. After retirement, he worked at the Newport News Shipbuilding Company for five years. He then spent 17 years working in Iran, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Omaha and a MBA at the College of William and Mary.
In 1957, he married Claude Chapuis; they divorced in 1988. In 1991, he married Jacque Sue Figone, who survives him. His also survived by three daughters, Susan Kelly, Jacksonville, Fla.; Audrey McDonough, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada; and Nathalie Bernstein, Roswell, Ga.; stepdaughter, Robyn Hill, Clarkston, Wash.; brother, Jim Harvey, Issaquah, Wash.; sister, Della Patterson, Kendrick, Idaho; two granddaughters and two step-grandsons.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Anne Church in Grants Pass.
