Allan Lillis died June 16. He was 89.
Mr. Lillis was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Portland. He attended Immaculate Heart Grade School and Columbia Prep High School on the University of Portland campus, graduating in 1941. After high school he worked in marine shipping and equipment supply and then joined the Army in 1943. At the end of World War II, he returned to Portland where he married Marjorie in 1947 at Immaculate Heart Church.
He worked for J.E. Haseltine & Co., a hardware and industrial supplier, until they closed. In 1962 the family moved to Lincoln City where he owned and operated a soda pop distribution company until selling in the summer of 1965. After moving back to Portland, he worked for Dayco Corporation as a warehouse manager until he retired at age 62.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his parents and four siblings. He is survived by three daughters, JoAllan (Gary) Ferris, Diane (Tom) Hays, Carol (Scott) Young; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at St. John Fisher Church. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, St. Anthony Church, Tigard
