Patricia Marie Brunette, a longtime member of St. Therese Church, died Jan. 12. She was 75.
Mrs. Brunette was born April 29, 1937, to Sarah Haak and Lester Henderson in Salem. She grew up in Portland and attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Immaculata Academy in 1955. In 1956, she joined the Air Force and received her 3743rd WAF Training Squadron diploma at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, as an airman third class. She received her technical training at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, as a communications center specialist. She received an honorable discharge in 1957.
She married Clarence “Frenchie” Brunette in 1958 at St. Rita Church. After living in The Philippines, Portland, Cottonwood, Idaho, Japan, Portland and Spokane, Wash., they settled in Portland. She worked at Babyland Diaper Service in both Spokane and Portland as an office manager. She also managed offices for Kmart and Nevamar Corporation in Portland.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jana Rene; her parents; brothers Roger, Lester Jr. and David; and a great-grandson. She is survived by her husband; sons, Richard, Michael and Donald; daughters, Jacqueline and Victoria; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary, Regina, Linda and Susan and Timothy.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Therese Church.
