Beth Haglund, a member of All Saints Parish for nearly 50 years, died Oct. 29. She was 85.
Mrs. Haglund was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Bessemer, Mich. She was raised in Superior, Wis., and gradated in 1950 from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in nursing education. She moved to Oregon where she worked as a surgical nurse for Providence Portland Medical Center. She married Herb Haglund in 1950, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Herb; her six children, Michael (Melissa) of Portland, Jeffrey of Bethel, Alaska, Peter (Brian) of Happy Valley, Janet Rathbone (Scott) of Portland, David (Cindy) of Clackamas and Thomas (Elizabeth) of Gilroy, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 5, at All Saints Church, preceded by a rosary at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
