Richard "Dick" Moorman died Aug. 30. He was 72.
Mr. Moorman was born Jan. 23, 1940 in Salem. He attended St. Vincent Catholic School, first through eighth grade; high school at Serra Catholic and College at the University of Portland, graduating with a bachelor's degree in business. He enlisted with the Air Force ROTC and served active duty for 6 months then continued with the reserves for eight years before his honorable discharge. He married Lynnea Young in 1964.
He worked for Mercer Steel then International Harvester Credit Corporation before being asked to move to Medford in 1971 to be office manager of Webfoot Truck and Equipment. In 1985 he became owner of the business and worked there until present day
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald. He is survived by his wife Lynnea, Central Point; sons, Paul (Kelly), Spokane, Wash., Scott, Sherwood and Mike (Melissa), Central Point; four grandchildren; and sisters, Patricia Westerlund, Beaverton, Kathy Williams, Longview, Wash., and Marylee Vuylsteke, Beaverton.
