Edward Frank Biehler died Aug. 25. He was 91.
Mr. Biehler was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Ramona, Kan., and graduated from Herington High School in 1940. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II in the 652nd Bombardment Squad in Elkenberry, England, United Kingdom, and trained as an airplane and engine mechanic in Airplane Mechanic School. After the war, he returned to Herington, Kan., to farm. He married Marcella Biehler in 1947. He moved to Sheridan in 1992 and worked as a mechanic at Oregon Pride Nursery in McMinnville. He moved to Hillsboro in 2005.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marcella; daughter; Kristine Biehler Parks; parents John and Anna Biehler; brothers William, Andrew, Joseph, Leo, Francis, Lawrence, and James Dean; and sisters Emma Fischer, Agnes Schrader, and Ann Herpich. He is survived by five children and their spouses; David and Maria Biehler, Dundee; Richard and Scheri Biehler, Greeley, Colo.; Claudia and Mike Cepak, Pierre, S.D.; Judith and James Pasch, Madison, Wis.; Michele and Joe Bass, Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren
Recitation of the rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, with memorial Mass to follow at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Roy. A reception will follow in the grade school.
