Julia Fisher died March 19. She was 76.
Mrs. Fisher was born Oct. 13, 1935, in Portland. She graduated from Parkrose High School in 1953. She married Arthur Fisher in 1956. She worked for the state of Oregon and then on her parents’ farm. In 1988, she and her family started selling their produce and fruit at the Gresham Farmers' Market and continued to do so for 20 years. She and her family started the Parkrose Farmers’ Market.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Steve Voorhees; and two grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, March 26, at St. Rita Parish, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 27, also at St. Rita Parish.
