Janet Couture died March 13. She was 76.
Mrs. Couture was born Sept. 29, 1935, in Indianapolis. She married Joseph Couture in 1955. She served in the Air Force during the Korean War. She was a homemaker and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Tunisia.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Stephen, Galveston, Texas; and David Couture, Junction City; three daughters, Cynthia Gruner, Springfield; Cherie Cheyne, Bonanza; and Kimberly Nevling, Olympia; brother, Robert Reid, Dallas, Texas; sister, Kathleen Spiller, Tuscon, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at St. Mary Church in Eugene. A lunch reception will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the Peace Corps.
