ROY — Agnes Herinckx, a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and mother to St. Mary Sister Charlene Herinckx, died March 9. She was 91.
Mrs. Herinckx was born April 1, 1920, in Hillsboro. She grew up in Roy and graduated from Banks High School in 1938. She married Charles Herinckx in 1945, and they owned and operated the Agalene Dairy Farm, in Roy, from 1945-‘68. She moved to the Jennings McCall Retirement Community in Forest Grove in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, and her sister, Cecelia Vandecovering. She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Kathleen and Ed Kemper, Roy; Sister Charlene, Beaverton; Robert and Donna Herinckx, Roy; Rosemary Leas, Salem; Patrick and Denise Herinckx, St. Helens; Angela Ron Duyck, Roy; and Julie Herinckx, Beaverton; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi in Roy.
