MEDFORD — Maria Ridders Carnegie, a member of Sacred Heart Parish, died March 7. She was 93.
Mrs. Carnegie was born Nov. 26, 1918, in Albany. She was raised on a farm in North Albany, attended St. Mary's Academy, graduated from Albany High School in 1937, and graduated from Oregon State College in 1941. She married John Carnegie in 1941. They moved to Medford in 1945.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Carnegie; children, Mary Ann (Don) Lorenz; Jim (Cassie); Margaret (Roger) Wakeman; Bill (Kay); and Betty Jane (Bob) Alward; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews.
