Richard Thomas died March 4. He was 77.
Mr. Thomas was born June 28, 1934, in Tillamook. He attended All Saints Elementary and Central Catholic High School. He served in the Army, and earned a degree from the University of Portland. He worked at Marylhurst College for seven years as business manager and development director, and then spent 21 years in the Lake Oswego School District as director of business affairs and assistant superintendent, retiring in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Thomas; four children, Theresa Thomas, Richard Thomas, Elizabeth Wilkening and Scott Thomas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Arlene Egger and Rita Thomas.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Friday, March 16, at All Saints Church. Memorial donations can be made to the Oregon Special Olympics.
