Franklin Shove died March 8. He was 72.
Mr. Shove was born Feb. 25, 1940, in Junction City. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1958. He served in the Army from 1959-‘63. He married Susan Jean Roessel in 1962 in Eugene. He worked as a slack line yarder engineer in the logging industry, and owned and operated F&S Brush Cutting. He retired in 2000.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Michael, Springfield; a daughter, Mary Parker, Springfield; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at St. Henry Church in Dexter. Memorial donations can be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, the Diabetes Foundation or St. Henry Catholic Church in Dexter.
