AHSLAND — Edward Adam Wrona, a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, died March 2. He was 89.
Mr. Wrona was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Salamanca, NY. He graduated from Salamanca High School in 1941 and began work as a cabinetmaker for Fancher Furniture Co. He served in the Army during World War II and was discharged in 1945. He married Mary Thompson in 1947. He worked in carpet sales and retired in Ashland in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory; parents; sisters, Mary and Pauline; and brother, Tony. He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Kathryn (Stephen) Brooks, Edward (Dianne), Susan, Christine (Rob) Giallongo; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Leo and sister, Sandra Skiff.
A service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 8, at Our Lady of the Mountain Church in Ashland, preceded by a rosary at 9 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the House Ear Institute, 2100 W Third St., Los Angeles, CA 90057.
