St. Rose Church in Northeast Portland hosts a premier of sacred music at Saturday evening's Mass.
St. Rose of Lima Church in Northeast Portland is the location of a world musical premier Saturday, Sept. 24. During offertory at the 5:30 p.m. Mass, organist John Vergin will play “Eucharistia,” a modern classical sacred piece by Portland composer Garry George Wilkes.

Christie Lenée performs at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 at Mississippi Studios. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Sept. 23.

Lenée’s guitar work is often compared to Michael Hedges, Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews, fusing folky playfulness with pop/rock inspired songs and guitar compositions.
