Art show helps cathedral

Social services at St. Mary Cathedral in Portland gets a boost from an art exhibit and sale set for Sunday, Dec. 8, after the 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses. Among the collection will be 15 paintings by adult artists with developmental disabilities.

From Port City Development Center in Northeast Portland, the artists offer colorful, vibrant canvasses. Also for sale will be woodcuts, handwoven tote bags, calligraphy by parishioner Chuck Lehman and photography by the cathedral's pastor, Msgr. Patrick Brennan.
