Monica (left, played by Monica Guerritore) never gave up hope for her son’s conversion. She followed him to Milan and became known to Bishop Ambrose and others for her service and prayerful ways.

The Resurrection Church Knights of Columbus will sponsor three matinee showings of the film Restless Heart on Sundays, May 12, 19 and 26, at 5 p.m. in the parish center. Live music will precede the movie, starting at 4:30 p.m.

The film, by Ignatius Press, shares the story of St. Augustine of Hippo’s conversion and heroic life. St. Augustine is one of the first Doctors of the Church, along with St. Ambrose, St. Jerome and St. Gregory the Great — named in 1268 by Pope Boniface VIII.
Suggested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Proceeds will benefit Fr. Taaffe Homes for pregnant teens. Seating is limited so organizers ask that attendees reserve a spot by calling 503-638-1579.
