"On the Verge," on stage at UP

On the Verge, a fantastical play, will be performed Oct. 3-7 in the Mago Hunt Center Theater on the University of Portland campus.

On the Verge features three intrepid female explorers as they journey into the unknown. Writer Eric Overmyer's imaginative comedy is filled with playful episodes and wordplay, plus many discoveries en route to Terra Incognita.

The cast, all University of Portland students, is Jessica Hillenbrand (Mary), Danielle Renella (Fanny), Emily Clare Biggs (Alex), and Matthew Sepeda (Alphonse, Grover, Yeti, Gorge Troll, Mr. Coffee, Madame Nhu, Gus, Nicky).

The play is directed by University of Portland Performing and Fine Arts professor Andrew Golla.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m., except the Sunday performance, which is at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. The box office opens for reservations on Sept. 24. For reservations, call (503) 943-7287.
