Men repair the roof of St. Ignatius Church.

In June, St. Ignatius Parish began holding Masses in the school gym while a new wood ceiling is installed in the church, along with new wiring and lighting. Both the church and school will also get new roofs.

Weekday Masses will be celebrated a half-block north of the school gym at the Loyola Jesuit Center in La Storta Chapel.

According to Patty Frangipani, parish administrator, the need for a new ceiling in the church was dire. Since 2005, a white tarp has protected worshippers from falling ceiling tiles.
