The Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice’s Faith Leader Summer Luncheon is set for noon, Tuesday, July 15.
Ascension, St. Pius X, St. Charles and St. Andrew parishes are among the congregations that are part of the interfaith coalition, which is committed to working for just and humane immigration reform and for social and economic systemic change of the problems that perpetuate poverty in immigrants’ home countries. The coalition was formerly known as Oregon New Sanctuary Movement.
The lunch will be at the Parkrose Community United Church of Christ, 12505 NE Halsey St., Portland 97230.
