HEPPNER — The start of St. Patrick Parish’s St. Patrick's Day celebration was once again marked with an original drama production featuring the St. Pat's Players and directed by Father Gerry Condon, recently retired pastor.
This year's production had a cast of 15 and a production crew of eight. The play chronicled the life of St. Laurence O'Toole. Also known as Lorcán Ua Tuathail, St. Laurence O’Toole was installed as the archbishop of Dublin during the Norman invasion of Ireland, and went on to help shape the Irish Church Reform Movement in the 12th century. He was canonized in 1225.
