UP grad returns with her poems

Lilah Hegnauer, poet and author, will read from her work at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 31 in Buckley Center room 163 on the University of Portland campus.

Hegnauer, a 2004 graduate of UP, is the author of two books of poetry: Pantry, winner of the 2013 New Southern Voices Poetry Prize, and Dark Under Kiganda Stars. She holds a master of fine arts from the University of Virginia and teaches at James Madison University and the University of Virginia. She is the 2014 recipient of the Amy Clampitt Residency in Lenox, Mass. Her work has appeared in Beloit Poetry Journal, The Kenyon Review, FIELD, and other publications. Hegnauer grew up in Washington state.
