For nine days in March, Catholics are invited to bring their intentions and needs to communal prayer at St. Ignatius Parish Church during the Lenten season.
The St. Francis Xavier Novena of Grace starts at the beginning of Lent, on Ash Wednesday, March 5.
The novena lasts nine days with Eucharistic liturgies scheduled for 8 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays; 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Presenters, who will give reflective talks at the liturgies, include Bishop Carlos Sevilla of the Yakima, Wash., Diocese; Jeremy Marks, past pastoral associate at St. Andre Bessette Parish; and Jeanette Grimaldi, mother, teacher, musician and SEEL director.
“Many come to these nine Eucharists and expanded liturgy of the word to receive insight, nurture and challenge from the Novena presenters and the community that together witness a wealth in tradition, scripture, sacrament and spirituality,” said Mike Buck, a member of the St. Ignatius Novena Team.
The church is at 3400 SE 43rd Ave. For more information, log on to www.stignatiusparish.org/novena. Email prayers to [email protected]
