KEIZER — After assisting with an ultrasound-guided abortion, Abby Johnson left her job as the director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas. Today, she is a pro-life activist.
Johnson will share her story at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Edward Church here. The parish was picked out of hundreds of applicants to host the free event.
Johnson is the author of “unPlanned,” the story about her journey from clinic director to the day she walked out the door and walked down the street to join the Coalition for Life.
Most recently, Johnson has launched a new ministry, And Then There Were None, which helps people who work in abortion clinics safely leave the industry.
Johnson now serves as chief research strategist for Live Action and works on projects with the national 40 Days for Life campaign.
Immediately following her talk, Johnson will be available for a meet and greet at the parish’s pro-life resource fair. Any organization interested in having a table can contact Rachel Hansberry, St. Edward’s coordinator of young adult ministry.
Limited childcare is available for those who RSVP in advance to Hansberry. To request childcare, call 503-393-5323, Ext. 312.
