TUALATIN — Resurrection Parish staff members believe that prayer, good communication, collaboration, and laughter are essential elements of doing good ministry.

Therefore they start and end every weekly staff meeting with prayer and a blessing, and they convene for occasional staff retreats, potlucks and social gatherings to build a stronger and better ministry team.

In February, the group traveled together to the Religious Education Congress in Los Angeles, where they experienced the universality and diversity of the Roman Catholic Church.

“Since our staff works together collaboratively, it is important that we have common experiences in terms of spiritual growth, faith formation, education and training, and having fun together,” said Father Bill Moisant. “Such experiences affirm our ministries and support our relationships in our parish work. One thing I have learned through my past management experience is that a happy staff is a hardworking staff.”
