GRANTS PASS — Eighth grade graduation for St. Anne School is set for 8 a.m. Thursday, June 13, in the church.

Valedictorian is Holly Hermes, who currently has a 4.03 grade-point average. Staff say Hermes is "outstanding" in being a faith-fill person, a well-rounded individual, a responsible citizen and a lifelong learner. She serves at daily Masses at least once a week and sometimes two, helps as a class representative in the student council, achieves straight As, participates in track and field, won first place at the science fair, gives up recesses to help pre-kindergarten students, sings in the school choir and serves at weekend Masses regularly.

"Obviously, Holly cares a great deal about her studies, her faith, and her community," staff explain. "She will be missed when she moves onto high school, but it will be exciting to see how she continues to excel in all areas of her life."

One of Holly’s goals is to be valedictorian in high school as well
