St. Juan Diego Church hosts a health care forum, at 7 p.m., Monday, April 8.
During a “Time to Learn,” panel members will examine what healthcare as a common good means, and how current state and national activities promote or detract from that vision. Audience members will be invited to ask questions.
Panelists are Father John Tuohey, founder and regional director of Providence Center for Health Care Ethics; Dr. Peter Mahr, clinical assistant professor at OHSU and Physicians for a National Health Program president, Portland; Christine Rontal, executive director Virginia Garcia Memorial Foundation; and John Kingery, St. Juan Diego Social Justice and co-founder of Catholics, Healthcare for All and director of Justice At The Table.
Deacon Dennis Desmarais will serve as moderator.
Refreshments will be served. The church is at 5995 NW 178th, off Springville Road, across from Portland Community College’s Rock Creek Campus.
