STAYTON — Regis High School here will host an annual open house for families who are considering new education options 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27. The open house will be held in the Regis Student Center at 550 West Regis St.

Regis staff, students and families will welcome new faces.

“All six of our kids have gone through Regis High School over the past ten years," says Michael Jaeger. "All of them attest to the value of the education they received — from the faith dimension to the sports dimension to the more recent fine arts dimension — the experience produces well-rounded young men and women who are prepared to make a difference in the world. This is something we truly appreciate and value.”

Families will learn about the academic opportunities at Regis, including honors classes in Chemistry, Biology, English 10, English 11, Writing 121 and U.S. History. There will be almost 30 student ambassadors acting as personal tour guides.

Students who represent clubs such as Fly Fishing, National Honor Society, Drama and Choir will be available, as well as coaches who lead athletic teams such as football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, track and field, golf, cheerleading and dance.

The open house will include information about the school’s ASPIRE mentoring program, which helps students access education and training beyond high school. Families can learn about tuition assistance options.

Regis currently has students enrolled from throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley including Albany, Aumsville, Gates, Lyons, Mount Angel, Salem, Scio, Stayton, Sublimity, Turner and Woodburn. The average class size is 20.
