Marylhurst adds three new degree programs
Marylhurst University has begun offering two new bachelor’s degree programs and an additional master’s degree program this academic year. The moves are part of a long-term plan to expand educational opportunities in niche areas for a multigenerational student population.
This fall, the university has enrolled its first students in the new bachelor's in media and film and the MBA with a focus on real estate.
The bachelor’s degree in media and film studies allows students to explore how various media impact culture. Students will pursue one of three concentrations: film studies, media studies and media production.
The MBA in real estate, offered as an accelerated online program, is designed for graduate students who want the broad business acumen gained from an MBA with a specialty focus on the real estate industry.
Also this fall, the university’s MBA in Sustainable Business introduced two new concentration areas: one in green information technology, and the other in food systems management.
Winter term, the university will expand its undergraduate offerings in English with a new bachelor's degree in English and Digital Humanities, a primarily online program that combines traditional English studies with the application of digital technology to the study of literary texts.
Marylhurst was founded by the Sisters of the Holy Names.
