St. Mary School second graders meet with alumni and Army reserve specialist Jourdan Kintz to learn about his career and recent service in Afghanistan.
St. Mary Catholic School in Stayton is holding an open house for families interested in learning more about the school. The open house is slated for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at the campus, 1066 N 6th Ave. in Stayton. Families can meet teachers, talk with parents, learn about the music and physical education programs, and find out about tuition assistance options.
St. Mary has 214 students. “The smaller teacher to student ratio is a big plus for our families,” says Rick Schindler, the principal. “We are excited to welcome the community and prospective families who would like to explore the school and find out more about it. I think they’ll find that this is a very friendly environment.”
The school welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds. In addition to academics, sports and electives, the school highlights its healthy home-cooked lunches.
Last year, St. Mary's and Regis High School consolidated. The schools now have a combined, multiple child discount. In addition, tuition assistance is available.
