A group of Portland-area Catholics has melded the spirituality of St. Ignatius with the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. They are offering the result to homeless addicts.

Priests celebrate golden ordination anniversaries
Two Archdiocese of Portland priests who were ordained on the same day 50 years ago were honored this spring by the people they have served. Father Dale Waddill and Father Louis Urbanski were ordained May 23, 1964, at St. Mary’s Cathedral Archbishop Edward Howard.

Retreat to offer healing for anxiety, depression, PTSD
MOUNT ANGEL — Mount Angel Abbey Retreat House will again offer a retreat for people who suffer from anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder. The title of the Aug. 8-10 retreat is: “Stories of Healing: Paths to Peace for PTSD, Anxiety, or Depression.”
